Bridges
On the retreat the Russians have destroyed the bridges so the Germans had to built temporarily ones and repair the old ones.
This picture shows the German wooden bridge that led into the ghetto. The big white building on the left was part of the area where thousands of Russian and Polish Jews lived under awfull conditions.
In summer the water level is low, so in this season the remains of the bridge are visible.
