This was one of the command bunkers of the LXXXII Army Corps. It was built for the Artilleriekommandeur 141 and his staff. Behind the bunker lies a Michelmannstand. Two big SK command bunkers were built and demolished after the war. The 608 and Michelmannstand were demolished in January 2013 to make place for a parking lot. So much for preserving history.
An overlay of a 1947 aerial photo on a current image showing the parking lot.
The primary entrance next to the close combat defence is much lower than the secundary entrance.
We wonder if this warning helps.
In case of an airraid you can find shelter here.
