Innercity

Actualy the inner city was the Festung and it was relatively small. That's why, due to the growth after the war, objects as a Landfront are hardly recognisable. Only the western part shows some infantery defences (not visited). We cover some highlights.

This monument stands at the harbour. It is dedicated to the cooperation between the French and US navies during WW-1. It gives an extra dimension to the importance of the harbour of Brest during her long naval history.
