Azeville

At Azeville the battery Wn 133 was built. Its main target was the beach near Hameau. On each side of the road, two casemates of type 650 remain. The battery was manned by 2./1261 H.A.A. and armed with 4 pieces of 10.5 cm Schneider 331 (f). The firecontrol post of this battery (type 120) was at the site in St Marcouf. The battery Azeville is a museum now. You can visit several parts for free. A guided tour brings you into the trenches where you will find a 621 and smaller bunkers. Henk Adriaanse did this tour in 2013.
