Colleville-sur-Mer

This chapter covers the coast from Port-en-Bessin until Vierville-sur-Mer.

Wn 62 is directly north of the US cemetery. It had 2 x guncasemates of type 669, directly covering Omaha Beach. This nicely preserved site also shows some tobruks, trenches and a double Wellblechstand. It is certainly worth the visit. Wn 65 is at Le Ruquet in Colleville.

The 667 is, as so many bunkers in Normandie, a monument.
