Wn 83, les Perruques

This part covers the "open" battery. It had six guns of type 15,5 cm s.FH 414 (f) and was manned by the 9./A.R. 1716. Maybe some confusion between the batteries and the used bunkers might be due to the fact that some sources state both types 612 and 669. We believe that the 669's were planned to be built at Perruques for the 15,5 cm, in order to replace the open emplacements. Three of the 10 cm guns type le.F.H.14/19(t) at La Nouvelle Martinière were placed in bunkertype 612, one was under construction.

We visited the site in 1996 but were unable to find this battery. A new team was in 2003 more succesfull. We had permission from the owner at that date. Years later the land switched to a new owner and he made a museum out of it.
