Area St-Michel-chef-chef north

In l'Ermitage you find this monument for the fallen in World War II. On 17 March 1945 a group of inhabitants of the region was trapped in a flooded minefield. Fifteen of them were killed, their age varied from 13 untill 71 years old. One strongpoint of the unit in command of this area (Gren Regt 983) was placed in the St Nazaire pocket at le Mabilais.
