Île Noirmoutier

"Noirmoutier" is old French for a black monk. This peninsula is worth your visit. All artillery was under the command of the M.A.A. 684. The casemates of the batteries are of type 669 and most artillery sites have only two guns each. The batteries were named after the former German warships.
