Inlandbatteries

There were three inlandbatteries within the Vb. One of them was behind the Kernwerk, but has gone. The battery Von Kleist covered the western part of the Landfront and could also fire on the beaches north of Walcheren. You can visit this place, which is in a meadow north-west of Vlissingen. The battery at Baskensburg covered the mouth of the Westerschelde. These bunkers will be integrated in a new villaparc.
