The Festungsfront Oder-Warthe-Bogen (also known as the Ostwall) is a fortified defence line in the
east of Germany in those days. Today you have to travel to Poland to take a visit.
The name comes from the two rivers. It was built from 1934 till 1938
and reinforced in 1944 in an attempt to stop a possible Russian attack.
