The story on this Belgian fort certainly deserves our attention.
It was build to prevent the kingdom from an attack in the east. After
construction in 1936 it was considered to be a strongpoint that could never
be conquered. It was deeply placed into a mountain and equipped with many modern guns.
It was strong enough to counter artillery fire, ground assault and gas attacks. However
less than a hundred German paratroopers found a way to success.
Henk Adriaanse paid a visit in 2015 and 2017.
