The guns
Eben Emael had one cupola for two 12 cm guns. As secondary armament there were
two cupolas with each two 7.5 cm rapid firing guns. The three cupolas were placed on top of the
fort, could rotate 360 degrees, but were not retractable.
Four casemates with each three 7.5 cm guns protected the outer walls. All entrances and incoming
roads were covered by eight defence blocks. These blocks had a total of twelve 60 mm antitank guns,
18 Maxim machine guns and 13 searchlights. Two additional Mg posts were placed on the roof.
